Three shapes of work

Which package an order sits in follows from how the recordings arrive. What it costs follows from how long the source runs and how many finished clips come out of it, and that is settled in writing before anything is cut.

Package 01

One recording

A single webinar, interview, panel or walkthrough that you want cut down into clips.

What it covers

  • One source recording, cut into the clips agreed in the quotation.
  • Each clip in the shapes named in the order.
  • Captions on every clip, corrected by a person.
  • Titles and end cards from wording and artwork you supply.
  • Rounds of changes as set out in the quotation.

What sets the figure

  • How long the source recording runs.
  • How many finished clips you want out of it.
  • How many shapes each clip is delivered in.
  • Whether you send timecodes or ask us to choose the stretches.
Package 02

A run of recordings

Several recordings from one series, one event or one week of filming, treated as a single body of work.

What it covers

  • Every recording in the run, cut to one agreed treatment.
  • One set of titles, captions and end cards used across all of them, so the clips read as a series.
  • A naming scheme for the files agreed before the first handover.
  • Handover in batches as each recording is finished, rather than everything at the end.
  • Rounds of changes as set out in the quotation.

What sets the figure

  • The combined length of the recordings in the run.
  • How many finished clips are wanted from each of them.
  • How many shapes each clip is delivered in.
  • Whether the treatment is settled once for the run or revisited per recording.
Package 03

A standing arrangement

Recordings that keep arriving - a weekly show, a monthly webinar, a podcast with a camera on it.

What it covers

  • A place in the schedule kept for recordings that arrive on an agreed rhythm.
  • A treatment settled once and applied to everything that arrives afterwards.
  • A shared folder arrangement agreed with you, so nothing waits on an email.
  • A written review of the arrangement at the interval named in the quotation.
  • Rounds of changes as set out in the quotation.

What sets the figure

  • How often recordings arrive and how long each one runs.
  • How many finished clips are wanted from each arrival.
  • How many shapes each clip is delivered in.
  • How long the arrangement is to run before it is reviewed.

The figure

Why there is no price on this page

The length of a recording and the number of clips wanted out of it decide the work, and no two enquiries put those two numbers in the same place. A figure printed here would be a figure agreed with nobody.

What is in it

The recordings covered, the clips agreed, the shapes each clip is delivered in, whether captions are burnt in or supplied separately, the date of handover, and how many rounds of changes the figure covers.

The figure

One total in pounds sterling (GBP), with any tax that is due already inside it. Nothing is added to it afterwards: no handling charge, no export fee, no charge for a shape that was already in the order.

How long it stands

Every quotation says the date it stands until. Past that date the scope is looked at again rather than quietly repriced.

When it becomes an order

When you accept it in writing and we send back an order confirmation. Until both of those have happened there is no order and you owe nothing.

How it is paid for

Against the confirmed order: by bank transfer on an invoice, by card, or through PayPal, on the secure payment link in the email. This website has no basket, no checkout and takes no payments of any kind. Card details are entered on the payment provider's own page, are handled by that provider, and never reach us.

The terms of service set out when payment falls due, and Delivery & Refunds sets out the statutory right to cancel, how to use it and how money is returned.

Boundaries

What no package covers

Said here rather than discovered later. Anything on this list that you want is a separate conversation, and some of it is not work this company does at all.

Filming

We edit recordings that already exist. Nothing is shot, and no camera operator is arranged.

Publishing and scheduling

Files are handed to you. Uploading them, writing what goes around them and dealing with what comes back stay with you, and no part of this service touches your accounts.

Music and stock material

No music, footage or images are licensed on your behalf. Anything of that kind you supply and hold the rights to is applied to the clips as you ask.

Translation

Captions are produced in the language spoken in the recording. Subtitles in another language are translation work and are quoted separately if you want them.

Advertising

Nothing here buys, places or manages paid promotion, and no result from any of it is promised.

Strategy about what to post

Where you ask us to propose the stretches, the list is a reading of the recording, not advice about what an audience will do with it.
